BUCKETS — In the biggest story in town right now, Buckets Dive Bar released a new golf-themed menu, just in time for the Masters, that consists of placing a golf ball atop every menu item, which is five things.
Patrons are calling the move "the work of a genius," while a few have pushed back against the release fearing Buckets will spiral into some "high-level society type of exclusive type place."
"The addition of a golf ball on top of the food is just...wow...how did they think of that?" said regular Daisy Bubbadoo as she twirled her pomodoro with a golf ball in the middle like it was a meatball. "I think the chef might be a bit of an Aristotle," continued Daisy as the chef eagerly eavesdropped nearby.
Others weren't so happy about the menu, such as bar regular Pete, who called it a complete sellout to the golf crowd in what is a billiards bar.
"What's next? We're going to have to wear golf shoes in here?" continued Pete as he placed the menu on a golf tee and hit it out the bar's window.
"How's that for the Masters?" continued Pete as his cherry pie was delivered with a golf ball on top, "Actually...Actually, this isn't so bad..." said Pete as he apologized for shattering the window with his subpar swing after seeing the food presentation in front of him.
Local menu critic Winda Bloomington rushed into Buckets after hearing the buzz and weighed in on the menu, not wanting to miss what could be the story that launches her career.
"Color me impressed. I must say the addition of the golf ball adds a layer of dimension to the Caesar salad that I've never seen before, it's almost like a fancy crouton," said Winda, as anxious patrons and bar staff looked on, "I expect this menu will...skyrocket Buckets from a dive bar to...a dive restaurant, perhaps!"
Pete was quickly seen hitting his golf ball off the top of his cherry pie straight into Wanda's plate, vowing to wreak havoc if Buckets is upgraded to a fancier bar before he was ushered out of the bar for breaking golf etiquette.
