WESTWICKS ZOO — Zoo Parrots Buster and Puppet attempted to host a “Hawaiian office-themed” party in their cage at Westwicks over the weekend, but it quickly turned into a flop after no guests showed up.

“We’ve seen a couple of these Hawaiian parties on TV and figured, what the hell? Let’s have one of our own,” said Buster, a macaw, as he hung a plastic floral necklace on a cubicle he rented from the main zoo building.

Puppet, a blue macaw, twirled around in a rented computer chair a few times before jamming a piece of paper in a printer while drinking a piña colada from a coconut shell before he said “ok, what now?”

Buster paced back and forth around the cage like a frantic Mom in a hospital waiting room as he said “Not now Puppet! Where are all of our guests! They got the invites didn’t they?!”

Puppet attempted to shove the invites he totally forgot to mail into a decorative paper shredder but was quickly caught by Buster who burst into a rage after grabbing the last invite from Puppet’s beak yelling “I gave you one lousy task!”

In a last ditch attempt to salvage the party, Buster and Puppet hosted a mock office meeting where they aired a PowerPoint presentation to the neighboring monkey cage that was just 50 minutes of made-up fun facts such as “I used to be an actor in soap operas” and “my favorite food is corndogs”.
