Mysterious Lone Traffic Cone On Sidewalk Sparking Mass Chaos

The Sidewalk — A lone traffic cone on a sidewalk downtown has sparked mass chaos amongst residents who are unsure of its purpose.

“At first, I was just walking down the sidewalk when I noticed it,” said town resident Misty Travers as she sidestepped carefully around the cone in case “the sidewalk was quicksand right there.”

“I also noticed it when I was just walking down the sidewalk but I came from the other direction,” said fellow resident Sky Milton as she walked backwards in the direction she came from “just in case the ground gave way.”

A stray piece of caution tape was laid near the cone which further heightened the anxiety of residents; “it must be serious if it involves yellow tape” and “uh oh, this doesn’t look good,” were some of the few concerns voiced.

“I’m just uneasy about the whole thing,” continued Travers as she photographed it on her phone from 17 different angles so she could distribute an alert to family members five towns away.

A pigeon boldly flew up to the caution tape in an attempt to lift the tape to its nest but chickened out wondering if it was in fact some type of trap.
